Yes, I have honestly never heardof caching a page or content, and I am a blatent abuser of MySQL as all of my tutorials are pulled out of the DB when viewed, so an article on that would be very helpful,

looking forward,

Agree on the SEO stuff, people take this far too seriously and spend far too much time on it and well if I can take a site to a PR of 5 in less than 5 weeks without doing anything it just proves to me SEO is a pile of donkey poo :P

Also agree on the cache and I use that religiously and it works extremely well. I store read topics in the database every 7dys and it's highly recommended for busy sites and will prevent a large slow database table.

Thanks for the read.

actually jay, do you think you could write an article and expand solely on caching using PHP, and maybe give out some pointers as well as decent resources?

in all honesty that is the first time i have ever seen someone mention it, and i have been looking around for ages at so many different types of tutorials.

Once again some awsome pointers.
I agree on the caching saves alot of resource, i think the main reason people dont use, has to be some people just dont do enough research and probably wouldnt have a clue on what caching is, again this falls under time to manage your site and finding better ways to do things.

So i would say who ever runs/wants to run a Tutorial oriented Site, needs to do his/her homework. There are many forums/blogs in which people can exchange ideas, suggest new things or better ways to do things, so why not put them to full use?
