I’ve just finished uploading the next logical step for Funholio – the AJAX’ing of the refresh function to get a new image. This means you’ll get new images much faster and you’ll get them without refreshing and re-downloading the layout everytime you generate a new image.
I’ve also fixed a bug that was stopping the ‘never see the same picture twice’ code from working which was bogging down the quality of the project, and I’ve implemented a system where by if you post an image on your website it will count every impression as a generation.
I am also aware that there are a small amount of pictures that aren’t even close to funny – and will be implementing a system in order for me to wade through each of the pictures to solve this. If you send me an e-mail at pics@funholio.com about a non-funny picture I’ll be sure to look into it :)
Update: Image removed due to the site shutting down.
Nice work; it loads a fair bit quicker now…in IE :P Firefox spews out some parsing errors when the script is running: “XML Parsing Error: junk after document element Location: Line Number 1, Column 642:”
Mosso admin’s are working on it ;) Apparently the session disk is full (or at least one of them?)
Great work Jay. A much needed upgrade!
