JHuskisson.com launched :)

Well here we are, a new beginning yet again. Now – where to begin… there’s plenty of things to go through…

Completely revamped portfolio. With all my previous projects that I could get a hold of (there are still a couple I’m actively pursuing), testimonials from clients I’ve worked with (actively pursuing there too), nice thumbnail images for everyone and nice detailed explanations. Full screenshots of ‘dead’ projects and pages for each one will be coming soon – so that you can fully access each piece of work if you choose too. I’ve also got a few hundred screenshots of every site on the portfolio to put up so that you get the full feel of everyone of the projects – dead or alive.

Expanded categories set. These allow me to be more flexible in my posting and allow me to post better things more regularly. You’ll notice there’s twenty or so active categories at the moment, but there’s around 4-5 that are currently empty that will be coming up too. I’ve also broken down my articles into sub-categories so that once I’m regularly writing them they’ll be easily to navigate.

Newly reformed goals. Now I have a new list of goals for the year of 2007 (albeit roughly the same, though including new goals to replace older completed ones). You can now also make a comment of support on the goals page if you choose to do so. It’s mostly a novelty but it’s something people send me and I thought it’d be nice to make it public.

Contact me anyway you want. I’ve reformed the contact page so that it now contains multiple methods to get in touch with me. Want to add me on MSN? my address is there.. AIM? GTalk? Yahoo Messenger? Skype? all there… Voice message? there.. Xbox Live? yup, there too. I’m very open to visitors talking to me about jobs etc. and I want to make it as easy as possible for visitors to do so. Some may call me crazy but hey, since when have I been one to go along with the norm?

Articles listing. Now there’s a dedicated page I’ll be saddened by looking at how empty it looks and I’ll be writing them more often. It also tells people how to request new articles (though obvious) – which helps.

Bookmarked Twod?. That’s fine, over 180 re-directs have been setup to move you to the proper location on JHuskisson.com so you don’t miss a single post :)

Something to read? I’ve made ten or so posts before launch, just so you guys have something more to do ;)

Things still to come..

  • Professional invoicing. Gilles is in the process of designing a custom invoice template and a new business card to create the perfect new work identity to match the site.
  • Detailed ‘case reports’ on each portfolio job, with full screenshots of all dead sites
  • Skype voicemail integration for the contact page so you can leave voice messages
  • New comic characters by the genius that is Richard Shilling
  • Regular posts on various tingly subjective topics
  • Regular articles using my experience to guide newbies and oldies through new things

New design credit goes completely to the talented Belgian that is Gilles Mae.
