Unlike a lot of news sites, they're embracing rather modern designs with new UI like AJAX to make things easier, which is one of the things that puts it up as a top source for news. It is a pity like you said, however, that they continue to use Windows Media Player. I use their online videos a fair amount to catch the news, and I'm sure I'd watch it considerably more if I didn't have to wait for WMP to slowly buffer each time.
