Today I’ve reached my 50 RSS subcribers goal and look to be climbing at a very steady rate towards my next goal of 100 :) I’d like to say a big thank you to all my RSS feed subscribers for making this happen.
I’m also at an article count of eight, with ten being the first of article related goals set. If you have anything you’d like me to write about feel free to post a comment or use my contact form.

Chelsea 3 Nottingham Forest 0

Last Sunday afternoon was one of those moments in my life that I’ll always remember. After 8-9 years of supporting Chelsea instead of my hometown team of Nottingham Forest - not only did I get to see my first match at Stamford Bridge, but I got to see Chelsea beat that very hometown team that everyone told me I should have been supporting all those years.
I was told to expect everything from Nottingham Forest’s away fans to ‘drown out our librarians’ to a complete thrashing by the away team. What I saw however was 90-92 minutes of complete and utter magic. In the first half alone Chelsea had 81% possession, 11 shots in the first 20 minutes without a single reply and three goals - including a stunning free kick from our top scorer Didier Drogba.
For every chant that the Forest fans shouted out at the top of their lungs there was a louder chant coming back from the opposing Chelsea fans. I’ll always remember Nottingham Forest fans getting through a single line of ’stand up - for Nottingham’ out and beginning to start the second when two stands of Chelsea fans immediately rose up to simultaneously shout over the top of that chant.
“Stand up - for the champions! Stand up - for the champions! Stand up - for the champions!”
Thirty six thousand people all standing and joining in to show their love for the club, thirty six thousand people at that moment where giving their voices, passion and lives all to Chelsea Football Club. It’s not something you’ll ever get from going to a pub, and it’s certainly something you’ll never replicate by watching it on television. It’s truly a unique experience.
Edit: I have closed off the comments for this post so no new comments may be made. I’m tired of the Nottingham teen gang culture trying to force me into changing the opinions expressed in my post, and I’m tired of reading comments that read like they where posted by people determined to prove just how bad their grasp of the English language is.

Looking for non-profit organisations
As per my goal of working for a non-profit organisation during this year I will be working for TwoDistribute on re-designing their site and making it dynamic so it’s easier to run, getting a donation system working and getting it hosted properly (it’ll be moving onto my Mosso hosting).
But that’s not all - I’m looking for more non-profit organisations that would like the help of myself and my contacts in re-designing their sites and having a system implemented to manage the site properly. I’m also offering free hosting to any non-profit that’s desire it, and my services as a consultant/web developer whenever they desire.
If your a non-profit organisation or know one that would be interested - feel free to get in touch using my contact form.
Edit: replaced contact form plugin, old one for some reason had a messed up display (enough though it was fine when the site launched)
Sub edit: This is an english blog, therefore I will not be using American spellings such as ‘organization’ with a z

How Nottingham forest should approach playing Chelsea
BBC have posted up an interesting article on how Nottingham Forest should approach playing Chelsea this sunday. It makes a very interesting read, as does the 606 debate on the article…
comment by bing1978
what a pointless artical. Forest are ina win win situation. If they get hammered ppl will say it was going to happen. If they lose by afew goals they will be called ‘plucky’ and ‘unlucky’. a draw will be ‘heroic’. a win ‘unthinkable’
Forest have to get promoted this season - the game is now just about Money, a draw would be great, just equals more money.
This site is getting worse
Great comment bing, we’ll get you out of the 70’s in no time. Anyone got any comments on the game pre-match?

Installed, configured and/or moved over 10 blogs
Today I’ve done a bunch of work on moving Wordpress blogs and the like. I set a ‘fun’ goal of having to play with 10 different blogs.. just to see if I’d get to that count. And today I’ve achieved that goal.
I also achieved another tiny goal in fixing my desk chair.
Boring post I know - but there’s much more interesting goals to be acheived this weekend - I’m guessing a good 2-3 of them. With another to be achieved in the coming weeks :)

Possibly going to be writing for DevLounge
The owner of DevLounge has approached me asking me if I wanted to write for them. I love their layout and the site seems to be ran pretty well (looking from the outside in) so I’m pretty interested.
Writing for someone else will provide extra motivation for my goals in relation to writing, and it’ll give me a place to put it that is concentrated around quality articles for developers.
As part of the deal anything I write will get posted on here too, with cross links between both places. So one link from devlounge to the article here, and one from the article here to the devlounge version.
No money is being exchanged, but it was never my intention whilst the articles where up here - so I don’t see the problem with them being on DevLounge for nothing either.
It could also give me a base to go after some interviews with people I’ve wanted to see interviews from for a long time. So that might be interesting too :)
What do you guys think about it?
