Look mum! It’s finished!
I’ve finished off the site today so all bugs are now ironed out of the layout. Some of the “highlights” include:
- Admin comments look different from regular ones (no more being ignored and seeing the same comments over and over…)
- Customise the mascot page automated
- “Quick bookmark” system introduced
- RSS feed management moved over to Feedburner
- Archives done properly
- About page, contact page, services page and projects page all re-done
- Favicon!
I’ve also converted around a third of my posts from the last database over to this database as I’m starting to see a problem with deleting everything from the previous version of the site everytime I upgrade :) It’s also nice to have a real archive, but as you can probably see, all the comments from those posts are completly gone. But i’m sure you guys will solve that over time :)
Also, another 6 mascot submissions:
I absolutely LOVE the customisations coming through for the mascot, and hope to see plenty more from you guys to come :)

Mascot PSD fixed
I’ve fixed the Mascot .PSD file over at the customise the mascot! page as the grey bar was overlapping causing a darkened bar.
Download the new version here and I look forward to seeing your customised mascots :)

Now you MAY see something different..
I decided that the previous version of Twod was generally very limited and poor to navigate, and I also wanted to switch to a simply layout that was quick to load and focused on the content I was putting accross. And then I found it.
Theres alot of changes really:
- main page shows 5 instead of 1
- categories are browsable
- great new archiving system
- spam blocker on the comments
- gravatar support on the comments
- my latest del.icio.us bookmarks (so you can see what i’ve been reading..)
- latest pixel2life tutorials
- links
- rss done properly (feedburner)
- contact form opened up a little bit
- about us page added (not yet actually got content though, haha)
- complete twodded blogs listing on the right
- NEW TWOD/TWODDED MASCOT IN THE HEADER! (an R-W Shilling creation)
Whoever said that updates to site versions had to come with only 2 features? Well, quite alot of people really.. But thats just not the way we do things round here ;)
